A Brief History of TaeKwondo
Thi is a Korean martial art that was developed shortly after the end of World War II in the South Korean capital, Seoul. Combining elements of Karate and Chinese martial arts with traditional Korean martial arts, This is famous for its use of head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.

The didn’t get its present name until 1959 when the Korea Taekwon-Do Association (KTA)was established to facilitate the unification of the different Korean (martial art schools) – an effort which was led by South Korean President Syngman Rhee.

Since 2000, Olympic Taekwondo has been a much-anticipated part of the Olympic Games. Together with Judo, it is one of two Asian martial arts that are included in the Olympics.
